WISE NOTES OF MUSIC
Do you like Mr. Hamlin as a teacher? Why?
''I think Mr. Hamlin is a good music teacher and band director. I think that because he is preny young and he understands us and gets along reaJly well with us. He also worked very hard to organize a great full schedule for us in Toronto. He is really eager to get a good band started up."
What changes were made?
"A few changes were made this year. Our numbers of band members increased (probably doubled), new and bener instruments were rented, and new band and choir sweaters were bought for all the members."
- Nancy Locke
Do you enjoy being in the band? Why?
"I enjoy it a lot because I love music, I love playing. and both bands (Jazz and stage) offer the chance to play; and the music we play is fun, as well as challenging...
Did you enjoy doing the fund.raisers? Pizzas and carnations?
" I had a lot of fun. especially making pizzas. I must have cut up one hundred green peppers!"
How many times a day do you practice'?
''Once a day in music class, and then on the weekends."
- Heather Vamplew
What changes were made in the music department'?
"Seeing the population of the band in comparison with other years, Mr. Hamlin is obviously doing something right. Finally, the band has started to flourish and rapidly increase in quantity. Mr. Hamlin deserves a great deal of prajse for this accomplishment."
- Katie Clugston
How much do you practice for the choir'?
''The choir practices together every Tuesday afternoon. I practice only when I find songs difficult or before perfonnances. ยทยท Are you looking forward to your trip to Toronto?
"I am looking forward to the trip to Toronto. It should be a gas! I am a little skeptic about performing at the Eaton's Centre, however, I am sure I will enjoy myself."
