This year the music depart- ment saw two
new faces on the teaching staff, Mr. Hamlin and Mr. Berni. It's been a crazy year, but with the support and dedication of so many students, it has been a year not to be forgotten.
What a year it has been for the band and choir! Remember back to when things were just starting up?! Carnation day was a great success. - Over 1200 sold! And then there was the pizzas. 3600 individual- ly wrapped pizzas, all in the name of fund-raising for our weekend trip to Toronto.
T oronto Was terrific! Performing at the Eaton's Centre, the "Big River"·, the Royal York! And then there was the Santa Claus Parade and the New Year's Day Levy. Of course the highlight of the year was the trip to Charlotte, North Carolina.
The choir improved dramatically over the course of the year. Were it not for the individual ef- forts o f these talented students, the choir could not have achieved the po~ished sound that they did. Congratulations to all of you!
The music program has really come a long way this year, and Mt. Berni and I are so proud of each and every one o f you. We hope that you'11 carry many fond memories with you, and look forward to helping make next year better than ever!
