Mr. Beckett was the "original gentleman". He is very athletic, he golfs, and plays squash. He has refereed many soccer games in his time and he has also coached many teams. He loves to sing and at one time he belonged to a Barber Shop Quartet. During the war he work- ed for the British Intelligence where he translated secret messages from the radio communicators.
About 10 years ago he went on an exchange to a German high school, moving his whole family with him.
He came to C.C.I. in 1965 as head of the Moderns Department.
Mr. Rickets was born in Oshawa. He attended Alberta Street Public School and later moved on to O'Neill Collegiate. During this time he held a job at General Motors.

He now plans to finish building
his boat and house.
Mr. Minardi graduated from grade 13 at Kirkland Lake C.V.I. in 1952. In 1956 he received his Bachelor of Physical and Health education from the University of Toronto. In 1964 he got his Masters of Arts (M.A.) from New York University. He also received teaching certificates for guidance, and education administration.
Mr. Minardi decided to consider this field of work because he had a positive experience in high school and he also had a strong influence from his teachers.
Now he plays slowpitch, he golfs, he enjoys alpine and cross country skiing and he loves to travel.
Mr. Gardiner attended school at the University of Toronto. He has been teaching for 21 years. Twen-
Before Mr. Gardiner became a teacher, he worked with the U.N. and laster in journalism.
When retired, Mr. Gardiner says he is planning to relax and spend some time travelling.
The students of C.C.I. will always remember Mr. Gardiner's famous DO'S AND DON'TS". Thanks Mr. Gardiner, we'll miss you!
