Senior Basketball
Although they did not fare as well as the Juniors, the Cavaliers under the energetic guid- ance of Mr. Quinlan still had a successful season. This year's team was made up mainly of rookies who provided many exciting moments.
They ended the season with a 3-3 win-loss league record and missed first place and the final game of the season. One of the year's high- lights was their victory over Midland who later went on to win the GBSSA championship and be- come Ontario Finalists.
Wayne Copp led the scoring parade with a 15 point average but was close lyfollowed by Roy Dahl
and George Palmer with 12 points each. Dave Homuth and Coppwere the rebounding stars while Robert Pazzi, Dave Holroyd and John Stephenson helped set up plays and bewildered the opposition with their defensive manoeuvers.
ThewholeSeniorteam would like to thank the coach, Mr. Quinlan, and the manager, Mike Chemerys, for devoting their time and effort. With many players returning next year, there is the hope that it will be a more successful season.
