Juniors Win G. B.S. S. A. Championship
After a slow start, the Juniors progressively improved until they ended up with second place in their league and a place in the championships. On their way to the district championships they de- feated first Barrie North and then Camp Borden. In the final tournament at Midland, they walloped Sutton and Huntsville by large scores to win their First GBSSA title in many years.
The offensive punch was provided by Bill Bishop and Derron Johns. Stu Homuth and Bob Gallacher controlled both backboards while,,
shining above all,,was the determined defensive work and play - "making of Zygmunt Szewczyk. The success of the team was a result of team
effort including everyone from the highest scorer to the manager, Garry Crittenden.
Coach Liotta, besides teaching them the skills from his personal storehouse, developed a spirit of winning and qualities of sportsmanship in his boys. CCI is thankful and proud of both Mr. Liotta and the 1965-66 Junior team.
