G.A.A.
As President of the Girl's Athletic Associa- tions, I would like to thank all the girls on my executive for their co-operation this year.
The curators of Intramural Volleyball and Basketball, Fran l!_awman and Cheryl Gilbank, did an excellent job of organizing class competitions.
This year our revised pinto system came into effect. Also, we have developed, with the aid of Miss Meredith, a new card-filing system which keeps a record of each girl's points from year to year throughout her years in CCI.
During the V olleyball and Basketball season, the girls practised for many hours, but although they kept the opposing teams on their toes, they were overpowered by the other schools who seemed to be 'taller' than we were.
Our annual Sports Night;which was introduced last year, proved to be quite interesting as well as providing an enjoyable evening of entertainment. The games in the cafeteria ranged from ping-pong to rumoli while there was a good variety of equip- ment in the gym. A record hop was held as well.
I would like to thank Miss Meredith for her guidance and time without which it would have been difficult. I wish next year's president the best of luck and hope she gets as much co-operation as I did.
A vast improvement in school spirit with regard to extra c~rricular activities was seen this year, and it is evident thatwithin a few years, our competing teams are going to become champions.
