JUNIOR VOLLEYBALL

The inter-school volleyball season is very short and is composed of one tournament for the championship. This year, the tournament was held at Barrie North. In the first game of a best of three series, the Juniors lost to a
strong team from Barrie North. The Juniors then played the Alliston team,
who emerged victorious at the end of a very close game. The third game, how- ever, saw the team take on a new outlook. We played the Base Borden team and after the game was over, the Collingwood team had their only win of the
series, placing them in third place. All due credit, however, should go to
our most able and devoted coach, Mr. Dykstra, who had to contend in the
series with a team of inexperienced, but eager, newcomers.
