ART DEPARTMENT
MISS KNIPFEL- is new to C.C.I. and also new to teaching. She came here from McMaster University to teach art, and helped with the art department of this Gleaner. Also, Miss Knipfel help- ed coach track. A member of the Canadian Ski Patrol, she enjoys skiing on snow and water, swimming and figure skating. Miss Knipfel has taught swimming to handicapped children and would probably enjoy it as a profession.
MRS. TIMMINS - teaches art, and came to Collingwood this year from Thornhill. She taught art privately for several years, but this is her first year of teaching in school. Besides drawing and painting, Mrs. Timmins enjoys skiing and tennis. She has skied here in Collingwood for the past twelve years.
MR. PILON - came from Hamilton, Ontario this year to teach the ceramics part of the art course. Before coming to Colling- wood, he was a commercial artist. Mr. Pilon devotes his spare time to "preparing lessons, filling out reports, questionnaires, eating, sleeping, raising my family, reports, questionnarires, les- son plans, course outlines, marking projects, filling out reports ..."He would like to be the Minister of Education. Of C.C.I., Mr. Pilon says, "This is a great school. I am glad to be here. With the other art teachers, we are going to make this into the finest art course anywhere in Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada, North America--the Universe."
